La Dispute was always one of those pieces that I felt needed to be played at night. I had the plan/idea for this video for quite a long time, however, everytime I got to recording it, it never really felt right! This time though, it seemed perfect. I had just gotten my 35mm adaptor for my video camera, so I now could stick on photography lenses and get some sweet DOF. I took full advantage of this, and decided it would be perfect for the melodica shot. Then, when I started recording, I thought it would be cool to have the effect of me focusing in and out at the beginning, and the colour changing to black and white! I always try to do something different for each video to keep ya’ll interested!
Enjoy!

Excellent work, Vladimir. As a film/photo enthusiast and piano player, I really enjoy your presentations. Great transitions and ‘cinematography’ throughout! New website looks great…
Thank you very much! I really appreciate your kind words! Glad you enjoy my work!
Increíble… I love your work. By the way, are you going to put the sheet music of the melodica?
P.S.: Sorry for my horrible English
Ahh! Thanks for reminding me! I’ll have it up sometime this weekend, I forgot to add it!
Thank to you for your music! Maybe I’m a little bit clumsy, but I can’t find the sheet music of the melodica :S
Best regards!
Awesome, kickass, super superb work. I never knew that the instrument starting out was a melodica. I always figured it to be an accordion. You’ve taught me things. Unfortunately I don’t own a melodica and will just apply this to my accordion instead.
Yah they do sound very similar. You can tell in the original recording though because you hear someone “blowing” into something. At first I didn’t have a melodica so I played this on accordion, and it felt like some of the playing style was hard to mimic, so I figured it must be on melodica. I finally bought one when my one music store suddenly got two in stock!
Very good! Congratulations on the site, which is great.
But @3:52-3:53, it is a tiny bit different. One doesn’t play C, but D. But I guess this type of music is free to various interpretations. I think, however, that this D, makes it richer! Still superb!
Thanks! I’ve always preferred playing the C. That’s just my personal preference, since of course the music is always up to interpretation! And I always know there will be keen people out there that catch all the things I do differently!
Glad you still enjoyed the piece!
I cant speak english very well but, its excellent, i love this track, tnks
